Airtime transfers from network to network can be a little tricky and if not done properly, can lead to your SIM card to getting blocked or deactivated. Now, we have written an easy guide for you on how to transfer airtime on all networks.
How To Transfer Airtime From AIRTEL To Other Networks
The first thing to consider before attempting any form of airtime transfer, whether it be to your own network or another network; is creating your transfer pin, which is a 4-digit pin in most cases.
It is of utmost importance that this PIN remains confidential to you. The network usually gives you a generic PIN; 1234.
Before making any transfers or transactions, the first thing you should do is replace this PIN with something that is only known by you.
This is to avoid unauthorized entry to your account.
To change it, it is best carried out by SMS, which would be sent to 432 in the following format;
PIN Old PIN New PIN. That is if you want to change your PIN to let’s say, 9410, simply SMS;
PIN 1234 9410, to 432.
Once this has been done, you will be able to share airtime with whatever network subscriber you feel like, be it MTN, GLO, or 9Mobile.
To achieve this, you will have to also send an SMS to 432, this time, with a different format as follows; 2U+ Receiver’s Phone Number + Amount +Transfer PIN.
It must be in this particular order with spaces separating each element.
For example; if you want to send 500 Naira to a GLO number from your Airtel line, simply send; 2U 0805xxxxxx1 500 9410, to 432. 9410 is your transfer PIN.
Note: This transfer method also works for Airtel to Airtel transfers.
